I found this site where people share their presentations. I especially liked the slides on White Space and Steve Jobs. www.slideshare.net
New media technology is the way that we can expect to interact with visual imagery, audible stimulation and even feeling-based sensitive feedback.
Learning how the markets and content creators can best harness these new technologies is key to making the experience that new media technology can provide. New technology in media has greatly improved the way that consumers can take in the information that they seek. Journalists have specifically taken advantage of this new movement and have learned to harness the power of delivery that it can have.
Multimedia reporting is a new form of combining visual imagery and audio to produce what is considered new media. Newspaper photojournalist have been a major part of these advancements and many of the websites that the newspapers host have new media reports available for subscribers and the general public.
All in all, new media technology makes the delivery of critical information much easier and more effective then we could accomplish with more tradition technologies

Forget lame company Values or Cheese Mission Statements, I think every company needs a manifesto. Something killer and visual, written in real words not flowery rubbish. This guy has really done something killer, we need something like this!

Presenting a product, a service or a proposition, to me, means that you have to plant an idea in the audience’s head that will stick, without clouding that idea with an overload of information. There are many ways to do this. Some of the less explored methods are autosuggestion and subliminal messaging. Using these methods might have people questioning your morals but fighting fair in any industry was never really a viable option, was it?
Besides, if you are selling a quality product, everybody wins and the public probably wouldn’t mind your methods…
(my opinion really)
Animated Short done with some serious style in the simplest way. Note the use of a dominating colour to create the mood of the moment and the music as well. Check it out here

While I’ll be the first one to admit I don’t really understand the technicality behind this, when I saw the headline to this article I thought ‘Pretty cool’. The Geeks at Popsci wrote a review about the Lytro Light-Field camera. In a nutshell, its a camera that allows one to take an image now and focus later. The benefits to are amongst others could be, being able to take more photos, getting more than one image out of one image.
They reckon there’s still more that can be done to evolve this technology, to allow us to do more awesome stuff with it, the fute is too exciting.

I don’t think I have seen a more effective and emotive doccy in my life. The tools that this guy used are amazing and the truth is that the problem is very real. This is happening in Africa and I think we should, if anything, be conscious of what is going on. At best, lets see if we can lend a hand somehow.

#Rich Check out this rad intro video http://t.co/1HTiTlMq
Digital cameras have spawned and age where nasty chemical photography is all but a thing of the past. Since their introduction digital cameras have become more complex, thus requiring more parts which in turn is creating the next generation of complex disposable waste.
Inspired by other contemporary self powered devices such as radios and lamps, the Twist Camera is a small portable digital camera that uses a winding mechanism for power and would be capable of taking several photographs per cycle of the mechanism.
The Twist Cameras features are minimal with the view finder being a simple hole in the body for the user to look through, a knob to wind for energy, one button for shooting a photograph and a multi coloured L.E.D. (Light Emitting Diode) for the user interface.
Photographs can be uploaded from the camera via a USB (Universal Serial Bus) plug that is hidden under the winding cap to a computer for further distribution and viewing.
It is intended that such a device could support resolution of up to 5MP with current technologies and find use in a range of diverse areas such as recreation, children’s products and third world use.
The self winding mechanism is also intended to highlight how the latest technologies can live in a more harmonious way with us in our society and hopefully make people aware that energy does not just only come from a power point.
I think sometimes we think to linearly about presentations – PowerPoint, Keynote or Prezi. But there are other options, especially when you being technology into it.
Joe Sabia does a really interesting schtick on the evolution of storytelling. From his iPad, and about 20 different apps. Not the slickest, but a lot more involved.

I came across this article and was reminded of Rich’s comment about kids doing someone’s high-paid job. Wolf just posted about NASA inappropriately named satellite they spent millions if not billions on to take pictures of earth. And here some kids do the same thing for £48. Okay, maybe the RES is lower but its still pretty rad, maybe we could send one up from Sandton for those zoom-into-city shots… maybe just on a less cloudy day… link: http://www.wired.com/geekdad/2009/03/kids-send-a-cam/
